This is the birthplace of a little idea known as “no tax on tips.” A young waitress came up to me during dinner and said, “Sir, we should have no tax on tips.” I said, “What? Say that again.” She repeated it, and I said, “That’s the greatest thing I’ve ever heard.” I walked outside to the media and said, “Ladies and gentlemen, there will be no tax on tips.” That was it—no expensive consultants needed.Las Vegas is home to the largest concentration of tipped workers anywhere in the country—arguably the world. Thanks to our tax cuts, thousands of Nevada workers—waiters, waitresses, casino dealers, bartenders, bellmen, barbers, caddies, and valets—have received the biggest tax refunds of their lives. And I just want to say: you’re welcome.Even the media—yes, even the so-called “fake news”—are saying, “Wow, this is really amazing.” It’s a great, big, beautiful bill. And that’s what it is—a massive tax cut, along with major regulatory changes. The tax cuts, especially, are enormous.

But we must win the midterms—otherwise, these policies could be reversed, and taxes could rise dramatically.

The average refund this season is over $4,000. In Las Vegas, many workers report refunds of $5,000, $6,000, $7,000, or even $8,000—amounts they’ve never seen before.In addition:

No Death Tax for Small Businesses and Farms
We’ve also eliminated inheritance (death) taxes for small businesses and farms. Previously, families were forced to borrow heavily just to keep their farms, often leading to bankruptcy. That burden is now gone.

Earlier this week, I met Sharon Simmons, a grandmother driving DoorDash to support her husband’s cancer treatment. She unexpectedly received $11,000—money she didn’t even know was coming. It turned out to be a life-changing moment for her.
