A prestigious ceremony was organized in honor of Punjab’s Provincial Minister and Vice Chairperson of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, Barrister Amjad Malik, by PML-N UAE Senior Vice President Sardar Shehzad Dogar. The event was graced by Secretary General Overseas, Chaudhry Noorul Hassan Tanveer, as the chief guest.Barrister Amjad Malik specially attended the ceremony and expressed gratitude to all well-wishers of Pakistan who stood by the country during challenging times. He appreciated individuals who continued to promote peace, patience, and brotherhood despite regional tensions and conflicts. He highlighted that Pakistan’s role as a mediator will be remembered in history for its contribution to modern diplomacy and defense strategy.He also paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country and those who returned victorious. He stated that these sacrifices allow the nation to live freely and peacefully today.Referring to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who also serves as Chairperson of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, Barrister Amjad Malik noted that special courts for overseas Pakistanis have been established in 37 districts of Punjab. These courts aim to resolve cases within six months, while overseas Pakistanis can also provide testimony through their respective embassies.He further emphasized that illegal occupation is not only unlawful but also a serious sin in Islamic society. The government is strictly following a zero-tolerance policy against land mafias. He added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is taking strong practical measures against land grabbers. He also shared that an online e-registration pilot project has been launched from London, while the digitization of land records is ongoing, which will help eliminate the traditional patwari system and curb land mafia activities.He also highlighted the importance of open courts and facilitation centers, appreciating the efforts of the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister for their initiatives in favor of overseas Pakistanis.Secretary General Overseas, Chaudhry Noorul Hassan Tanveer, stated that under the leadership of Ishaq Dar, international affairs have shown significant progress. He added that Pakistan is moving forward under strong leadership, and continuous efforts are being made for the betterment of overseas Pakistanis.The event was attended by distinguished personalities from various countries including UAE, Japan, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, UK, Italy, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Denmark, along with legal professionals and media representatives.The arrangements of the ceremony were highly commendable, with excellent food quality and well-managed hospitality.
